Senior Buyer - Resins/Plastics

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Buyer at Deckorators, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring direct and indirect spend categories while building strong vendor partnerships. Your role will include:

Strategic Sourcing: Identifying material sources for Resins and Plastics to meet organizational needs.

Vendor Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and leveraging those relationships to drive successful business plans and roadmaps.

Negotiation Leadership: Leading RFI, RFP, and expressive bid events while developing negotiation strategies using market data and cost modeling to deliver maximum value to the organization.

Procurement Excellence: Procuring products that exceed quality, service, and cost expectations while accurately forecasting market trends and future directions.

Category Expertise: Collaborating with engineering teams on specification management and engineering change requests, ensuring a clear understanding of manufacturing processes and products for assigned categories.

Contracting and Legal Support: Supporting business agreement development in collaboration with legal and other stakeholders.

Data-Driven Decisions: Preparing market analysis reports and sourcing strategy roadmaps to guide organizational decisions.

Team Leadership: Supervising and coaching direct reports to ensure successful execution of sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

At least 5 years of supply chain and strategic sourcing experience, with a focus on Resins and Plastics.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other business software.

Familiarity with commodity market dynamics, international sourcing, and legal requirements for contracts.

A proven ability to analyze data, manage vendor relationships, and drive innovative sourcing solutions.

What We Offer

Compensation & Benefit Information
Salary Pay Range:  $75,000 - $95,000 annually dependent on experience

*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living, geographical location, experience and other factors

Bonus/Incentive Pay: 
The percentage of incentive compensation that may be earned varies based on the customer account classification and is calculated based on collected gross profit.
