HP One Agent is a low-level device platform software component installed on millions of HP devices to enable connectivity, telemetry, and more modern AI or subscription use cases.

1. The agent is modular and event-based, modernizing the HP App Enabling Services driver.

2. The agent is designed with a strong reusability and platform mindset, where most code features are implemented as shared libraries, and the majority of business features are developed as modules, all for reusability across the HP portfolio

3. Further, it is used as an enabler for the new AI PC portfolio for performing local inference and more.

We are looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join a team of talented engineers working on the HP OneCloud Agent and the Cloud IoT framework that enables it. The agent is currently installed on more than 35m devices.

Job Summary
• This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that cater to specific user needs or business requirements. The role works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create functional, user-friendly, and reliable software solutions. The role conducts testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure that software applications are free of defects and meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
• Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of the overall architecture of the product or solution.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by users or identified during testing and usage.
• Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for the assigned portion of the application.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance teams, to implement new features and functionalities in software applications.
• Allocates resources to complete programming projects and design detailed plans to ensure applications are functioning properly.
• Leads a project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned application portions or subsystems.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Represents the software applications engineering team for all phases of larger and more complex development projects.
• Keeps up with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development to stay current and improve skills.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in applications engineering, programming, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
