C++ Software Engineer - Real-Time Safety Critical Systems

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join our team specializing in safety critical, real-time software solutions. You will lead designs, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality implementation and documentation of software projects. This role is integral to advancing our cutting-edge technology in space robotics, contributing to missions such as the lunar gateway and space stations orbiting the moon.

ResponsibilitiesLead designs for safety critical, real-time software solutions.Mentor and grow the agile practitioner skills of team members via conversations and demonstrations.Ensure designs are documented and well communicated.Lead and participate in the implementation and testing of safety critical, real-time software.Review the work of teammates and provide guidance to improve their skills.Lead estimation efforts for new tasks.Collaborate with other seniors and management on the establishment, evolution, and enforcement of standards for coding, tools/environments, and processes.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Essential Skills10+ years of experience in C++ (including some Embedded C work).Experience with VxWorks (WindRiver).Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles (OOD).Experience with SOLID principles.Capability to train other developers and create training materials/SOPs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Embedded C.Knowledge of RTX64 or RTEMS.Familiarity with communications interfaces such as SPI, EtherCAT, and CANOpen.Continuous integration and build automation experience.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
