Senior CAD Designer Job ID 203509 Posted 29-Jan-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Construction, Data Centers Location(s) Charleston - South Carolina - United States of America, Moncks Corner - South Carolina - United States of America **About the role** As a CBRE Senior CAD Designer, you will design and prepare complex electronic working plans, maps, and drawings for successful implementation of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles throughout multiple datacenters. The position requirements may vary according to Client-determined assignments, but most content relates to gathering existing site conditions in addition to generating path layouts for industrial AGV (Autonomous Guided Vehicle) equipment and systems in the robotics portfolio at the Client's data centers. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team crafting engineering documentation and design drawing packages. This job is part of the Design function. They are responsible for preparing and producing proposals and planning applications for internal and external partners. On site in Moncks Corner, SC **What you’ll do** + Prepare prints of various original plans and records for internal and external agency use. Review updated various drawings for changes, using computer-aided drafting techniques. + Gather data to complete complex drawings by visiting the site directly. Perform repetitive field measurement tasks for long durations such as bending, kneeling, squatting, walking, climbing stairs, etc. + Coordinate the CAD design for Navigation Tape and GeoMarker installation package + Quickly and efficiently collect existing conditions and field observations to provide accurate redlines to revise/edit design drawing packages. + Revise/Edit CAD packages and Lucidchart Navigation Graphs as needed from field audits or engineering changes + Verify that the development of maps and drawings that are spatially accurate and technically correct. + Subject matter expert for all partners to acquire details of projects, including equipment, materials, and codes. + Review on-site information entered into the database to ensure current building conditions and data are accurate. + Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. + Have a broad understanding of own job field and some knowledge of several job teams within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. + Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team. + Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. + Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations + Ability to be effective both when working independently and as part of the team + Willingness to work toward gaining a clear understanding of product requirements by reviewing, understanding, interpreting and revising technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, mockups, and prototypes. + Handle shifting priorities and design production to coordinate with field installation schedules + Document and manage risks, issues, actions and decisions that affect deliverables. + Conduct pre/post installation audits of 3rd party navigation and datum field installation team. + Provide field support quickly and efficiently and quality control to the client engineering **What you’ll need** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of meaningful experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD or Revit + Outstanding analytical and conceptual thinking skills. + Knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering design + Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. + Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. + In-depth knowledge of Google Suite products. + Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality. + Competency in Autodesk Software - CAD, BIM, Solidworks, BIM360, etc. + Ability to coordinate with and influence partners to determine acceptable solutions. + Preferred experience with robotic process automation. + Preferred coding or custom application development using visual basic, C# (C-sharp) **Why CBRE?** FORTUNE Most Admired Company #1 in real estate for third consecutive year; Ten years in a row on the list!
