**Job Description**
This position serves as a professional resource in the career development process for college faculty, staff, students, and external community to create and administer program procedures, processes, goals, plans and programming for services that support career development, experiential learning, and employment.
The Senior Career Advisor & Employer Specialist addresses and responds to the needs of the students, working closely with administration, faculty, staff, and employer partners to provide career and digital badging programming and career exploration and employment services. The position addresses and researches best practices on career development and employer programming, develops and monitors a comprehensive assessment plan to ensure continuous improvement of activities, services, and trainings to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
This position also provides leadership and direction for the hiring and training student employees and graduate interns in the department.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ A combination of education and experience necessary to perform the functions of the position in areas related to Career Services, Career Development, Counseling, Advising, Program Development.
+ Ability to build strong relationships by seeking out, establishing, and nurturing new industry partnerships among various industries.
+ Knowledge of using occupation and labor market informationin order to convey and advise others in an individual andgroup settings.
+ Ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing ) with students, accurately assess their needs and provide resources to address their needs with courtesy.
+ Ability to effectively prioritize and organize tasks and follow through with activities.
+ Skills in drafting and writing reports.
+ Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency, incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.

**Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)**
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
