YOUR IMPACT
As a Senior Cash Application Administrator, you will leverage your expertise in global cash applications to support our Accounts Receivable (AR) function in meeting incoming and outgoing cash targets while ensuring financial accuracy and integrity. Reporting to the Manager, Cash Application, you will collaborate with AR stakeholders to drive best-in-class cash application processes, including automation and continuous process improvements. Your ability to execute flawlessly in a fast-paced, integration-focused environment will be essential to success.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERSServe as the designated point person for accurately and efficiently applying payments to customer accounts.Identify and resolve exception transactions and assist in preparing corrections to maintain financial accuracy.Post daily cash receipts and address customer inquiries related to cash applications.Distribute unapplied cash documentation to collectors and research historical cash application activities when needed.Ensure payment application accuracy and timeliness, meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and cash application metrics, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.Process credit card transactions, enroll customers in automatic payment programs, and manage monthly reports.Collaborate with Finance teams (Banking, General Accounting) to ensure proper application of non-AR cash payments and reconciliation of inter-company cash clearing accounts.Address and resolve payment discrepancies, such as overpayments, short payments, and foreign exchange adjustments.Act as a subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance and support to junior Cash Application Administrators.Ensure timely resolution of customer account payment discrepancies.Assist in improving and automating cash management processes.Support additional projects and initiatives to enhance cash application practices.WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDEducation: College or university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Working towards a CCP designation (Credit Institute of Canada) is an asset.Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in Cash Application, Accounts Receivable, or Order-to-Cash, preferably in a Shared Services or BPO environment.Experience in B2B transactions is preferred.Strong customer service mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve customer payment discrepancies.Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Microsoft Office.Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset, eager to drive efficiencies in cash application processes.Ability to foster collaboration and adaptability in a continuously evolving environment.ONE LAST THINGAt OpenText, you’re not just joining a company—you’re becoming part of a global community that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
