Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior CAT Tester to support the testing, validation, and maintenance of software systems crucial to mailing and electronic data exchange. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in customer acceptance testing, functional requirement documentation, and automated test script development. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining technical file specifications (Mail.dat, Mail.XML) and ensuring system updates align with business and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Software Requirement Specification (SRS) documents to support functional and technical specifications (Mail.dat, Mail.XML). Manage, update, and maintain technical specifications and user guides. Perform Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT), including developing test scripts, conducting smoke tests, functional tests, and documenting outcomes. Review Technical Requirement Documents (TRD) and ensure that functional requirements are tested and validated. Develop and maintain performance metrics to track and report on CAT status. Provide subject matter expertise in forums such as Mailer Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) meetings. Create and maintain automated test scripts for system validation and testing. Develop training materials, standard operating procedures (SOP), and guides for impacted applications. Ensure Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) is kept up-to-date. Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

5-7 years of experience in technology or software development, preferably involving Mail.dat and Mail.XML specifications. Experience in Customer/User Acceptance Testing (CAT/UAT), with strong skills in creating and automating test scripts. Hands-on experience with data file formats such as CSV, XML, and JSON, and relational databases. Expertise with MS O365 tools: Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Access, and Workflow. Knowledge of scripting languages like SQL, Java, or Python (preferred but not required). Experience with Agile or Waterfall testing methodologies. Strong understanding of business processes, documentation, and analysis. Experience in smoke testing, regression testing, and production validation. Software Testing Certification (preferred).

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Note: Four (4) additional years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
