Aon Group Japan Ltd. is currently recruiting a Senior Catastrophe Research Analyst for Reinsurance Solutions. As part of the Catastrophe Research team, you will play an integral role providing analytics support on risk assessment and risk management consulting for Aon Reinsurance Solutions clients. Job Description Support developing catastrophe models (mainly on weather perils such as wind and flood) Evaluation of catastrophe models (mainly on weather perils) Post event analysis following a major weather catastrophe event Research on weather perils and risk Development related to weather perils and risk Research on climate change Quantification of the impact of climate change on physical risk Interaction with Broker Team and Analytics to present results to clients and reinsurers Skills and experience that will lead to success Weather risk quantification Strong computer skills in MS Office suites (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Programming experience (VBA, SQL, R or Python etc.) Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts Ability to lead a project independently while obtaining necessary advice and support from those around you Curious and eager to explore new fields Business level English language skills Experience in the following areas and/or the following qualifications are advantage: Experience of catastrophe model development Fluent in Japanese (native speaker, JPNL 1 or equivalent) Ph.D, Professional Engineer, Weather forecaster, or First-class architect Candidates must have a valid working permit in Japan. 2564534
