Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has two new Senior Category Manager roles available! One will focus on Food service and the other will focus on Jan/San.

Responsibilities

 

You will:

Manage assigned product categories and oversee team categories to ensure performance and portfolio health.Supervise, mentor, and coach Category Managers to foster professional development and high performance.Develop market expertise to monitor trends, assess risks, and enhance competitive positioning.Engage with suppliers to drive profitable growth through cost negotiation and supplier/item consolidation in the food service and or Jan/San industries. Drive RFP processes that center on data-driven decision-making.Build strong internal partnerships to execute category-level cost-saving initiativesNegotiate vendor programs to improve product positioning and enhance margins.Oversee item management initiatives to optimize inventory, expand private label penetration, and item rationalizationLead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.  Qualifications

You have:

 

7-10+ years of experience in buying, inventory management, or supply chain with a proven record of leadership and team management.Foodservice and or Jan/San industry experience is required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Experience in distribution or related industries is strongly preferred.Experience with project management methodologies and tools a plus.We are flexible on location but prefer candidates that live in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
