Senior Category & Sourcing Manager

We're hiring a Senior Category & Sourcing Manager to join our team in the UK or Ireland.

Let's talk about the role:

ResMed’s Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team is looking for a strategic and driven Senior Category & Sourcing Manager to develop and implement strategic category plans in EMEA across categories including Fleet and Diagnostics. In addition, this role will manage and lead the sourcing of Indirect goods and Servies in the EMEA region supported by our Procurement Operations team.

This role will manage supplier engagements including through SRM methodologies, drive effective contract management disciplines, and enhance the supply base and supplier development. Reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement, this role is vital in driving strategic planning, sourcing and supply management activities as they relate to the procurement of Fleet, Diagnostics and other goods and services across a diverse portfolio of expenditure.

Let’s talk about responsibilities:

The primary objective of Category Management specialization within Procurement Job Family is to develop and implement Category Management plans in alignment with ResMed’s operational and strategic business goals including future product and supply chain needs.Teams, develops and manages category strategy hand in hand with stakeholders, as well as reviews and analyze supplier spend to derive useful insights that drive opportunities to consolidate spend and save the company money.Demonstrates effective supplier relationships and business review practices to drive innovation, deliver sustainable cost & value, create competitive advantage and manage business and compliance risks to enhance ResMed business and avoid supply disruption.Effectively partner and collaborate across GSA and the wider ResMed business to maximize value from sourcing from the existing and new supplier base.Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and cost control measures to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.Responsible for sourcing Indirect Goods and Servies in all markets that ResMed operate in EMEAResponsible for supporting and coordinating GSA’s input and corrective actions as they relate to Audit activities and findings in EMEA.Focuses on the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives that help achieve organizational mission.Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.


Let’s talk about qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree or MCIPS / ISM QualifiedAround 5 to 10 years of related Fleet & general Procurement experience.Fluency in English is essential. German and/or French language skills are desirable.Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of own function and related disciplines.Analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a different factors and understanding of current business trends.
