The **Senior CFV Vehicle Mechanic (SPV)** supervises mechanics under their charge and performs work toward the reconstitution, preservation and maintenance of all Commercially Furnished Vehicles in GPMS. Ensures safe and efficient operation of multiple gasoline (MOGAS)/diesel (JP8) Material Handling Equipment (MHE) platforms and other commercial vehicles. Diagnose automotive electronic, hydraulic systems and testing/tuning exhaust systems. Adhere to Global Propositioned Material Services (GPMS) & United States Air Force (USAF) mandatory requirements according to contractual obligations and meeting specific performance metrics i.e. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI) and Performance Work Statement (PWS). Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). **Principal Accountabilities** + Conducts all Technical Inspections on assigned Contractor Furnished Vehicle (CFV) and Leased vehicles and ensures inspections are performed within prescribed guidelines, determining the causes of malfunctions, extent of repairs required, parts required and cost of repair. + Supervises all assigned mechanics under the span of control. + Ensures that all tools and equipment are serviceable, accounted for and secured. + Maintains daily/monthly operator forms, logs, databases and spreadsheets. + Diagnose electrical faults, repairing wiring issues, replacing components like batteries or alternators and ensuring that all electrical systems function correctly. + Repairs or replaces parts and assemblies, realigns and adjusts systems on all aspects CFV and Leased MHE and/or vehicles, manual and automatics transmissions, steering and braking systems, clutches, fluid flywheels and torque converters, axle hubs and bearings, fuel air and cooling systems, suspension, body work and hydraulic systems. + Troubleshoots and calibrates using diagrams, manuals, special tools/meters/test equipment, electrical systems, pumps meters and injectors, distributors, air conditioning systems and vehicle attachment. + Services and carries out preventative maintenance, renewing oils, filters, coolant belts and lubricants as directed on assigned vehicles. + Completes maintenance forms such as work orders, parts request sheets and maintenance sheets. + Records data such as hours worked, work performed, speedometer/hour meter readings, parts used and ensures correct completion work orders for all CFV and Leased MHE & vehicles within IBM Maximo. + Ensures all tools, personal protection equipment and clothing issued remain safe, secure and serviceable reporting any deficiencies. + Research parts by means of Commercial Manuals, Technical Orders and parts manuals; checks all subordinates parts research to ensure accuracy and that only required repair parts are ordered. + Ensures safety practices and housekeeping guidelines are maintained to the highest standard. + Monitors and ensures all hazardous materials are stored and handled in accordance with Amentum Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and host nation rules and regulations. + Checks all vehicle repairs made by mechanics under their charge to ensure the highest quality repair standards are met. + Reports any discrepancies in shop first aid kits, fire extinguishers and eyewash stations. + Provides task certification for mechanics in training and certifies periodic training requirements are met, logged and filed in the employees shop training record. + Performs all duties in accordance with Amentum work instructions and SOP's. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Works in maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods. **Minimum Requirements** + Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an intermediate to advanced level. + Must have training and experience in operating and maintaining multiple commercial and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) platforms i.e. (4k-25k forklifts, tractor trailers, cranes, bongos and including 90k container mover). + Must be able to read technical orders and comprehend detailed instructions and be able to diagnose using electrical and hydraulic schematics. + Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license. + Will be required to operate material handling equipment and light to heavy military type vehicles. + High School diploma or equivalent required. + Certified training and/or qualification in vehicle maintenance/MHE required. + Seven years' experience as a light and/or heavy wheel mechanic with three years' experience as a forklift technician in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance required. + Will be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment. + Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed. + Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensive work handling/lifting equipment. + Ability to travel domestically and internationally. **Preferred Qualifications** + Proficiency in the use of personal computers with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Excel and Word programs preferred. + Two years' experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
