This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
The opportunity
Are you passionate about change management and leading organizations through the process of project conception to adoption? In this key role, you will support the sector in developing and delivering change management initiatives that are critical to the project’s success. Reporting to the Director, PMO, you will be joining the Governance and Engineering team within Technology & Infrastructure at a critical juncture as we embark on a multi-year journey to overhaul and modernize various platforms and technologies.
As a Change Advisor to various Technology and Infrastructure initiatives, you will be responsible for accelerating implementation through the planning and delivering of change strategies at all phases of the projects. You will take general direction from the senior project management/direction roles on projects. The key areas of focus for this role are to build and support readiness across the organization with various stakeholders, end user training, in collaboration with our Learning & Development partners, and user adoption. You will also play a critical role in conflict resolution, acting as primary facilitator and using your decision analysis skillset to aid the business determine its approach at all levels of the organization.
You will also work with business leaders & advocates to ensure they become change sponsors and support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans. You will collaborate with the Transformation Office to ensure the change management plan is adopted seamlessly across all components.
This role can be based in either Montreal or Toronto. Note that travel may be required.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and execute the project’s change management plan, including collaborating on the communications plan, guiding stakeholders in development of future workflows, assessment and mitigation of end-user impact and how to assess impact.Lead the transformation effort across all business units, including defining needs, ensuring alignment with the vision and objectives, organizing and planning projects, managing change and delivering business benefits.In collaboration with the Organizational Transformation team, you will be part of gap analysis and strategy creation for the entire project.In collaboration with the Learning & Development team, you will design and facilitate end-user training plans and post go live adoption strategies.Support the design, development, delivery and management of project communications.Collaborate on the assessment and analysis of project workflows while optimizing change strategies.Create plans and activities to prepare the project team and change agents for end-user training deployment.Analyze issues encountered by business units to diagnose the situation and determine the best response strategies to realign and define capabilities, structures, responsibilities, processes, practices, etc.We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Undergraduate degree in business administration or a field relevant to organizational transformation, or combination of training and experience deemed equivalent and relevantMinimum five (5) years of experience in a comparable organizational transformation role or relevant industry experienceExperience working on large-scale strategic and cross-functional projects (ex. ERPs)Experience in organizational change and user adoption in a large-scale enterprise wide change effortExperience in conflict mediation in a highly politically-charged and matrix environmentKnowledge of organizational development and change management conceptsKnowledge of process improvement methods and tools (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, developing matrices, flowcharts or other views to make information understandable, performance dashboards)Possess an acute business acumen and ability to identify organizational issues and challenges.Strong ability to analyze and make complex information understandableAbility to effectively articulate your ideas and influence others at all levels of the organizationAbility to function effectively in complex business environments and on several projects simultaneouslyEffective and engaging facilitation and listening skillsExcellent communication skills in English and French, both written and spokenExperience with the Prosci change management methodology - an assetExperience with training - an assetCandidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
