Title: Senior Civil Engineer – Water Resources

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in Water Resources to expand our innovative team, continuing our tradition of excellence and making a lasting impact on water infrastructure projects. In this role you will serve as the technical leader for the design of key projects, including flood risk reduction, water conveyance systems, and dam rehabilitation.



Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead project scoping, design charettes, and problem-solving sessions to define and refine project objectives and ensure alignment with client needs. Oversee the compilation of design documents for construction projects, conducting constructability reviews to ensure plans are feasible and optimized for execution. Implement and manage rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes to maintain high standards of engineering and design accuracy. Participate in client meetings, both during traditional hours and after hours as required, to facilitate continuous communication and project alignment. Occasionally undertake necessary travel to project sites and client locations to oversee progress, provide expert guidance, and ensure project goals are being met effectively.


Key Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or geological engineering from an accredited college or university At least six (6) years of relevant work experience, with a strong focus on water resources projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain a California PE license within one year of start if not already credentialed. 



Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Proficient in design and management of water-related infrastructure projects such as dams, levees, and flood control systems. Demonstrated ability to lead a project team and manage technical aspects of water resource engineering. Prior experience as a project leader or in a project management role. Strong communication skills and the capability to coordinate across disciplines. Extensive experience in water resources and/or hydropower projects, with a strong understanding of the specific challenges and standards in these sectors. USACE, SAFCA, PG&E, and other water agency/district and utility client experience
