Hatch has an opportunity for an Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer to work on several ongoing projects from our Calgary office. This person will for perform general civil engineering and design activities involving site preparation, grading, drainage, roads, paving, etc. for mining and heavy industrial projects. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Leading the civil project team through to completion of assigned projects in areas of bulk earthworks, site drainage, mine and plant roads and earth and mine tailings structures design. + QA/QC of design calculations and contract documents. + Assuming responsibilities of discipline practice on assigned project scope. + Working collaboratively with the project managers and multi-discipline design teams. + Quality control – Drawing and calculations checking and verification. Qualifications: + Experience managing and leading projects within Civil Engineering Discipline + Civil Engineering degree from a recognized engineering program + Licensed Engineer within the province of Alberta preferred + Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience (i.e. mining, energy or infrastructure) + Project Management experience with mid to large scale projects.
