We are looking for your expertise as a Senior Civil Project Engineer who will be responsible for the management of design, preparation of drawings and specifications, construction of civil engineering works, structures and ancillary infrastructure (including buildings) to join our esteemed client’s project team. Key Responsibilities: Ensures that innovative civil/structural detailed designs are completed following good engineering practices and in accordance with client standards and specifications, industry standards and the relevant legislation (quality of design). Provides design interface between internal and external design and drafting disciplines. Provides discipline input for Studies and Proposals. Manages the mark-up and back draughting of redline drawings. Manages the programme (time), cost, quality, risk and scope of assigned civil packages over full project lifecycle. Manages, inspects and releases the relevant items of procurement, fabrication and construction within area of discipline and responsibility. Manages budget as allocated per discipline/procurement package. Manages personal and design/draughting budget man-hours.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements: Accredited four (4) year Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering. (Essential) Professional Registered Engineer/Technologist (PrEng/PrTech) (Essential) PMP (Advantageous) Minimum ten (10) years Civils and Infrastructure Project Execution and Contracts Management (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC etc.) (Essential) Project Execution in Mining/Mineral Processing (Advantageous) Cross-Border (Africa) Project Experience (Advantageous) Underground Civils Project Execution (Advantageous) SANS 2001 Construction Standards (replaces SANS 1200) (Essential) COTO Standard Specifications (replaces COLTO) (Advantageous) Design of Concrete works, Structural Steel or Infrastructure (Advantageous) PMBOK Guidelines for Project Management (Advantageous)
