Position Overview:
Chubb is currently seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team, focusing on property claims in the Miami, FL area. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference, supporting our clients through their claims journey, and actively contributing to an inclusive team culture.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough onsite inspections of properties, investigating facts, evaluating damages, and writing accurate estimates in a timely manner. Effectively evaluate contract language to identify coverage issues while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory fair claims practices. Develop comprehensive files for accurate investigation and loss analysis, maintaining an active file diary to facilitate resolution. Recognize and actively pursue potential recovery opportunities and identify potential fraudulent claims effectively. Manage relationships with outside vendors, ensuring efficient use of resources and expenses while delivering high-quality work products. Negotiate claim settlements by evaluating claim facts objectively and fairly, fostering trust and transparency. Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers, including insureds, agents, and underwriters. Contribute positively to the team’s goals, objectives, and overall performance, supporting workload surges and catastrophe operations as needed, including overtime during designated CATs. Provide exceptional customer service tailored to a diverse client base, ensuring high satisfaction rates and client loyalty.Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of personal and commercial insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements, and insurance regulations is preferred. Experience in commercial claims handling is highly desirable. Proficiency in Symbility or similar estimating platforms is required. Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for evaluating, interpreting, and synthesizing complex information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills that accommodate diverse audiences. An innovative thinker who can multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new technologies and systems as needed. Previous experience handling complex claims with significant exposures is beneficial. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Empowered to make informed decisions within the scope of your authority, aligning with the company's mission and values.
