We have a new role available for a dynamic Senior Claims Adjuster specialising in Energy and Technical Lines.
The main purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of claims within the Technical Lines and energy Lines of business. You will accurately assess and manage claims in accordance with the Chubb European corporate guidelines, the conditions of cover, standard level agreements and specific delegated authority granted
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of claims and follow specific account requirements. Assess and evaluate policy liability and to calculate reserve exposures, assess settlement values of claims. Negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion. This may involve policy holders, other professionals, Insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, solicitors and third parties by letter, telephone or meeting Build and maintain client relationships and look after key accounts which include providing timely and clear responses to correspondence received. Relationship development also extends to key internal business partners. Build and manage documented files utilising corporate mainframe and other claims department systems. Maintain these through the use of diary, logs, and monitoring tools. Represent Chubb and the department at internal and external meetings including review meetings with brokers and / or policy holders. Where required, deputise for senior colleagues. As the role develops, you will act as a technical resource and guidance on the claims assessment process to junior colleagues to ensure claims handling is a consistent process. Provide mentoring, training and coaching where appropriate. Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards. To fulfill, compliance and regulatory requirements (including complaints procedure). A reasonable working knowledge of each of the specialist product lines, the insurance market and competitors.Candidate will need to have a good understanding of Upstream and Downstream Energy, Power, Contractors all risks, Erection all risks and Boiler and Machinery.Solid experience of dealing with brokers and clients. Ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.An experienced professional who is recognised Internally and externally.May have ACII qualification, with market experience. Continues to develop technical and broader business skills.Demonstration of practical approach to dealing with situations.We offer in return!
