What the typical day will be like
This position will oversee property and casualty claims ensuring compliance policies, procedures, and legislation. This role will be managing the increasing workload of two large accounts. In addition, this colleague will handle data entry of claims, claims advocacy processes, clients experience reports, coverage analysis, manage insured’s expectations, preliminary assessments, preparation/participation of client’s stewardship meetings, collect data on complex/large claims and follow up with the insurers, client and market relationships management, innovation.
Responsabilities
+ Evaluate and analyze property and complex casualty claims.
+ Analyzes coverage for property and complex casualty claims.
+ Explains applicable coverage to clients and provides preliminary assessment of coverage.
+ Claims Advocacy for insured with carriers
+ Reviews and evaluates all incident reports for completeness and clarity of data.
+ Communicates and interacts with adjusters, engineers, forensic accountants, and other claims professionals to monitor and assess the progress of client’s claims. Prepares all necessary forms, records, and documentation, to include statistical analyses and reports, for all claims assigned.
+ Makes strategic recommendations for reducing the frequency and severity of losses using claims data reports; designs and develops data bases, performs integrated data analyses, and prepares reports.
+ Prepare reconsideration requests when needed.
+ To offer P&C Workshops to insureds
+ Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ proven ability in the insurance industry specifically in claims area, property and casualty claims management preferred.
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a business/risk management or legal related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
+ Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, including verbal and written.
+ Analyzes coverage for property and complex casualty claims.
+ To request reconsiderations in coverage declinations.
+ To advocate for fair resolution of claims.
+ Analyze coverage and prepare preliminary assessment to clients.
+ Present stewardship meetings to insureds.
