**Senior Claim Representative** Salt Lake City, Utah $85-95K/year DOE Our client, a Medical Professional Liability Insurance Company, is seeking a Senior Claim Representative to manage their Utah territory. This individual will be responsible for investigating, managing, and evaluating minimal and exposure suits in accordance with guidelines. This will include identifying coverage issues, setting adequate reserves, assessing degree of liability, and determining case value. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to manage their own territory with a growing company. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in either medical malpractice or general liability claims. **What will the Senior Claim Representative be doing?** + Managing Utah territory, visiting clients, attending court dates, mediations, depositions, etc. + Taking first notices + Preparing correspondence to insured and counsel + Obtaining necessary files such as medical records, liens, rights of recovery, etc. + Conducting interviews with insured and unrepresented claimants + Closing out claim files + Logging all necessary documentation into the system + Discussing settlements with Insured and obtaining proper written consent + Preparing indemnity check requests + Reporting settlements to necessary parties + Resolving coverage issues + Researching complex medical and legal topics + Providing thorough investigations + Developing negotiation strategies + Completing tasks and deadlines such as bill payments, reserve changes, written reports, closing, etc. + Providing objective opinions of defensibility, verdict, and settlement ranges + Providing timely communication with all involved parties on status updates/changes + Assisting team with other projects as needed **What is required to apply?** + 3+ years of experience in general liability claims + Bachelor’s Degree preferred + Ability to travel (25%) + Ability to work with minimal supervision + Ability to work remote, must be located in the Greater Salt Lake City Area + Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company’s insurance requirements + Ability to manage highly confidential information + Ability to manage relationships + Highly organized and attentive to detail + Must have good judgement + Professional demeanor + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Strong computer skills **Perks?** + Medical, FSA, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability + 401(k) w/6% company match + $700/month auto allowance or company car + Cell phone, internet reimbursement + Discretionary bonus potential _PrincePerelson & Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we do not discriminate against applicants due to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, veteran status, or on the basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
