We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Claims Service Consultant to join our CAT Team, where you will support the management of large-loss claims and provide expert guidance to ensure exceptional service for our clients.
About the role
Manage and oversee complex CAT (catastrophic) large-loss claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Ensure and maintain knowledge of current legislation and how this impacts claims management, applying soundly based decision-making to all claims and consistently making liability decisions of increasing complexity. Manage a portfolio of claims from validation to finalisation within PCA authority levels and ensure that client is kept informed as per communication requirements. Manage complaints relevant to your claim portfolio within current legislation and Allianz processes. Review claims and authorise payments for other team members within allocated authority, ensuring adherence to AAL standards to minimise leakage and increased cost of claim. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including adjusters, contractors, and dispute teams, to ensure smooth claims finalisation.
About You
Meet specific technical capability and competence standards that are required for professional progression within AAL, including the submission of a portfolio of supporting evidence (For AAL employees only). Experience in handling highly complex claims management processes and procedures across a variety of general insurance product lines gained in a complex, matrixed general insurance organisation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk, identify issues, and develop effective solutions to resolve claims. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service.
