We are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction team at Marsh as a Senior Client Executive and Team Leader. This role will be based in Toronto and is a hybrid position that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Senior Client Executive and Team Leader, you will be responsible for growing satisfied client relationships and acquiring new clients. You will partner with various resources to provide superior client solutions. The Senior Client Executive is ultimately fully accountable for all solutions and resource delivery to the client, as well as the management and growth of the client P&L, both individually and in the aggregate across a book of business.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the job description for the Senior Client Executive role at Marsh, this position also entails significant leadership responsibilities, particularly in managing and developing a growing team. As a team leader, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment that aligns with the strategic goals of the Central Region Construction Corporate Leader.
Reporting directly to the Central Region Construction Corporate Leader, you will be provided the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and contribute to the overall success of the construction division. Your insights and leadership will be vital in driving the team’s performance and achieving the company’s objectives in the construction insurance sector.

We will count on you to:
Review client/prospect exposure loss experience and current coverage, and analyze the risk to determine the product/service requirements.
Communicate client needs and binding instructions to insurers.
Implement and maintain a quality service plan, ensuring the accuracy of binders, policies, and other relevant documents.
Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients.
Contribute to placement strategy.
Negotiate complex insurance programs with underwriters when required.
Advise clients on coverage issues.
Conduct stewardship meetings with client participation.
Along with the team, generate new sales through existing clients and client referrals in accordance with the business plan.
Manage timely billing/collection for each client.
Develop a working relationship with all functions within the company to improve client service and increase cross-selling opportunities.
Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on best practices in client management and insurance solutions.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members grow in their roles and advance their careers.
Strategic Leadership:
Collaborate closely with the Central Region Construction Corporate Leader to align team objectives with broader corporate goals.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable plans to achieve them.
Fostering a Collaborative Culture:
Promote a culture of teamwork and open communication within the team, encouraging members to share insights and collaborate on client solutions.
Organize team-building activities and professional development opportunities to enhance team cohesion and skill sets.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor team performance against established metrics and objectives, ensuring that the team meets or exceeds client service standards.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high service levels and client satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management:
Lead by example in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, demonstrating the importance of client satisfaction and retention.
Encourage team members to engage with clients proactively, ensuring that their needs are understood and addressed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments within Marsh to enhance service delivery and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Facilitate communication between your team and other functions to ensure a seamless client experience.
What you need to have:
A minimum of 10 years experience in Construction insurance.
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to independently service medium- to larger-end (somewhat complex) accounts.
Developed client relationships with Economic Buyer and Risk Manager.
Good knowledge of client risk issues and Marsh solutions.
Effectively manage and retain renewal business.

RIBO and/or CIP License.

Computer literate with proficiency in email, spreadsheet software, as well as in-house proprietary financial and sales-reporting systems.
