We are seeking a talented individual to join our Power & Renewable energy team at Marsh Specialty. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The successful candidate will be joining a team that operates at the highest level of professionalism and insurance knowledge within their sectors, who can support our growing portfolio of renewable energy construction projects.
The role involves interaction with clients in the sector, our network offices, broking colleagues, lenders and the insurance market
You can expect to work in a fast-paced specialized team within the Renewable Energy Insurance Market that handles the projects of various scale, challenges for clients of various levels of insurance experience.
For many of the projects, finance is required and therefore working alongside lenders insurance advisors will also be required.
Insurance placements will be diverse and offer the successful candidate the opportunity to meet new, different and exciting challenges on a daily basis.
We will count on you to:
Lead renewable energy construction projects, taking a pro-active approach in delivery of our service.Provide clients with insurance risk management advisory services.Create and deliver placement strategies for clients, coordinating with the wider Marsh Energy and Power Specialty worldwide.Demonstrate proficient awareness of the power & renewables market conditions to provide informed advice to clients.Develop relationships with other Specialties within Marsh with the view of providing additional products to clients.Monitors accounts progress (documentation, claims, risk engineering, payments, collections, etc.) anticipating and preventing problems when possible.Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, lenders and insurance marketsAbility to communicate key cover terms and conditions to clients.Development of new business opportunities.What you need to have:
Solid and proven experience of managing large construction projects in the UK and/or globallySignificant experience working within the construction sector. Experience in the Renewable Energy Insurance sector would be of benefit but not essential.Professional affiliation/accreditations desirable (ACII part/fully qualified (or equivalent) preferred)Strong communication and influencing skills are essentialStrong analytical and problem-solving skills are essentialAbility to identify when to escalate an issue or not where it is beneficial to the delivery of client service.Demonstrates confidence in presenting to clients and internallyStrong computer skills including demonstrable proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint essentialAbility and preference to work collaboratively within a team.What makes you stand out?
