Senior Client Executive - Risk Management Practice

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Management Practice at Marsh. This role will be based in Sandton, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Senior Client Executive, your main focus will be on delivering exceptional service and utilizing your growth mindset to deliver value to a portfolio of large, listed businesses in South Africa. You will be an expert in insurance broking and you will lead the annual renewal cycle and daily servicing on a portfolio of clients, as well as supporting with claims, risk management and other services.

In this role, you will focus on creating and nurturing relationships as a trusted advisor to our clients. You will work closely with Industry experts and the broader client servicing team to bring relevant and innovative solutions to client, bringing the value of MMC to our clients.

We will count on you to:

Be a great relationship builder, and nurture existing relationships through continuous client engagement

Manage the renewal cycle and daily servicing for a portfolio of clients

Work with internal stakeholders to deliver the best possible client experience and value

Deeply understand a client’s business, industry, and risks; and translate that knowledge into practical, innovative solutions

Keep abreast of the insurance market and seismic shifts in client’s industries

Be able to work in ambiguous situations, make sense of and a success of them

Be a fast-paced thinker who is committed to service excellence

Be adaptable and pro-active to change

Mentor and develop junior colleagues

Manage negotiations with a commercial mindset

Create new relationships through networking

Adhere to internal processes and SLA’s

Occasionally work outside business hours to support urgent needs of clients

What you need to have:

10 years of experience in a similar client-servicing role in insurance, looking after similar sized clients

FAIS fit & proper, and AIISA or similar

Bachelors degree, preferably in a risk or insurance related field

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

High attention to detail

Action-orientated mindset

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Strong presenting skills
