Senior Clinical Data Analyst - Remote

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

Utilize knowledge of analytical techniques, database structure, report formatting and presentation, and subject matter expertise to provide support and direction to the development and implementation of clinical, population and strategic actions relating to the achievement of the organization's strategic goals.  This position will provide the analyses and interpretation needed to support clinical redesign across a multi-site health system.

               

Essential Job Functions

Extract, analyze and interpret clinical and quality data to provide strategic information to senior leadership, physicians and market leaders

Maintain and/or use databases, such as EPIC, QualityAdvisor, other Premier databases, Safecare, Strata, Tabluea, and Power BI.

Work with staff and executives at all levels to understand data needs, identify appropriate data to use and assist in developing the form of presentation

Serve as a system subject matter and database expert.  Educate market staff how to use databases. 

Assist with gathering and providing data to external organizations such as QNet, Leapfrog, insurance providers, NDNQI, TJC and CMS

Assist with creating graphs and data displays for executives

Education Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelors Degree

Computer science, nursing, informatics or a related area.  Clinical degrees, such as RN, RT, PT, RPh

Preferred Education

Masters Degree

2-3 years experience in similar role
