Summary
Builds and supports technologies to serve business needs as related to EPIC Bridges, Cloverleaf, and Capsule. Participates in the full development lifecycle for team technologies and projects. Administers and supports automated systems via the construction and testing of technologies within area(s) of specialization. Partners with senior developers and application architects to identify the business needs and appropriate technical solutions between EPIC and third-party systems.

Job Duties

Assists the business in determining the best technical interface solutions for issues/processes and how they can/should be integrated with other business and technical systems/processes.Develops detailed business work plans for analysis, testing system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements. Develops Interface Business Requirements Documents, creates interface testing plans; builds, tests and implements new interfaces)                                                              Evaluates the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the technical requirements for the current development, staging and production environments.Analyzes work processes, feasibility of medium to large project requests, and troubleshoots operational problems.Develops, plans and executes thorough and complete test scenarios and plans.Assists in developing technology standards.Coordinates resources required for task completion.Serves as a direct liaison to functional process owners and subject matter experts.Completes tasks by due dates or documents variances and alerts management.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Information Sciences and Technology or related fieldsPreferred work experience will be considered in lieu of degree4 years progressive experience in Information Technology or a related Healthcare field2 years direct Epic bridges build on current software version or 2 years direct interface engine build (ex: Cloverleaf, eGate, Ensemble)Attention to detail and ability to assess business problems and develop feasible alternative solutions.Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self-motivated and self-disciplined.In depth knowledge of processes of assigned area(s), applications, and technologies.Effectively deals with multiple and changing priorities.Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision and/or direction.Must be able to visit multiple business and education locations. (Dependent on employment location)EPIC-Bridges EDI Certification (current version) upon hire or obtained within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Experience

4 years direct Epic Bridges build on current software version or 4 years direct interface engine build (ex: Cloverleaf, eGate, Ensemble)


Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
