Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Medical Director to join our Oncology division in Germany. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading our medical and clinical strategy, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and driving the development of innovative oncology treatments. This role requires a deep understanding of the oncology landscape, a passion for patient outcomes, and a strategic mindset to advance our mission in oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership:

Lead and oversee clinical research and development activities for oncology therapies. Provide medical expertise and guidance to clinical development programs, ensuring scientific rigor and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement clinical trials, interpret data, and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Medical Strategy:

Develop and execute medical strategies to support the advancement of our oncology pipeline. Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing medical insights and identifying emerging trends in oncology. Ensure alignment of medical strategies with overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Regulatory and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines and ethical standards in clinical research. Serve as a key liaison with regulatory authorities, providing medical expertise during regulatory submissions and inspections. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and their impact on clinical practice and research.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions in the oncology community. Represent the company at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and other professional forums. Act as a spokesperson for the company’s oncology initiatives, enhancing our reputation as a leader in cancer treatment.

Patient Focus:

Advocate for patient-centric approaches in all aspects of clinical development and medical strategy. Ensure that patient safety and well-being are prioritized in clinical trial design and execution. Support initiatives to improve patient access to innovative oncology therapies.

Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD) with specialization in oncology; must be a medical doctor. Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in oncology, including leadership roles in clinical research and development. Proven track record in designing and executing clinical trials, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical development processes. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex medical and regulatory landscapes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
