Senior Cloud Engineer – OT Platform
Total Number of Openings 2 About the position: Chevron invites applications for the role of IIoT Cloud Engineer within IIoT Platform Product team in India. The IIoT Cloud engineer Executes the designs and roadmaps developed by Cloud/IIoT Architects. Supports Cloud/IIoT Architects in solution definition, development, build, and test of major/minor infrastructure features and functionalities. As an IIoT Cloud Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and engage in a wide range of projects and initiatives. These experiences will allow you to gain valuable expertise in areas such as automation, operating systems, Azure networking, security, and resource management. The expectation for this role is 5-10 years of relevant experience. **Must Have Skills:** + Strong knowledge and experience with Process Control Networks. + Knowledge of the Purdue model. + Experience with installation, configuration, and patching of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025). + Extensive experience with Active Directory, with a focus on GPOs, GPO creation, DNS, OU structure and User Management. + Server hardening following CIS benchmarks. + Knowledge segmentation of zones within the Purdue model (firewall zoning, DMZ, PCNs). + Familiarity with asset criticality classification and network isolation best practices. + Experience supporting SCADA, DCS and PLC connected servers. + Experience with applying MS security patches and verifying vendor certification of patches. + Antivirus/endpoint protection for servers in OT/PCN environments (Symantec, Trellix). + Knowledge of access control and auditing practices aligned to least privilege principles. + Ability to properly communicate and collaborate with OT teams without impacting plant/field operations. + Familiarity of RTO/RPO planning for PCN systems. + Knowledge of monitoring tools (Solarwinds) . + Ability to troubleshoot network issues at the server level (IP conflicts, VLAN tagging). + Familiar with firewall rules and how they affect PCN traffic. + Ability to work under strict change control management processes and coordinate with PCN Automation teams. **Good to have skills:** + VMware Installation, configuration, and management of ESXi hosts and vCenter server. + Knowledge of vMotion, DRS, HA, and vSAN. + Knowledge and experience with virtual machine management such as VM provisioning, cloning, snapshot management, VM resource monitoring and performance tuning. + Experience with Splunk + Networking + Firewall terminology + Network zone segmentation familiarity Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday.
