Position Overview:
Are you passionate about cloud technology and eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic organization? Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) is seeking a talented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll integrate advanced technical expertise with business acumen to navigate our public cloud computing needs, from application and infrastructure design to maintenance and support. You'll play a crucial role in evolving our cloud capabilities and supporting TMHCC's expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Administration: Configure and manage public cloud environments (AWS and Azure) in compliance with company security controls.Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the go-to expert on AWS and Azure services, providing guidance and training to development, security, and infrastructure teams.Innovation and Prototyping: Design and implement cloud-based solutions with a focus on the Well-Architected Framework pillars: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization.Problem Solving: Employ exceptional problem-solving skills to address issues proactively.Monitoring and Automation: Develop advanced logging, alerting, and monitoring strategies for platform visibility and quick problem resolution. Enhance cloud automation with version control and change management.Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and make recommendations to help TMHCC excel.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Certifications: AWS Solution Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Developer, or Azure Administrator.Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in administering and configuring public cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).Technical Skills: Expertise in lifecycle management of AWS/Azure PaaS and IaaS services, SaaS applications, Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting cloud automation (Python, CLI, Bash Shell, AWS/Azure resource templates).Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and strong analytical skills.Why Join Us?

This role is hybrid (4/1) and based out of our Houston office. Relocation is available.
