Senior Cloud Engineer
Job Description A major medical technology company is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their operations/shared services team. The Cloud Engineer will support custom applications, large data platforms, and services like Snowflake, primarily in AWS environments. Responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing cloud infrastructure, automating processes (with a strong emphasis on scripting, preferably in Terraform), and ensuring system reliability and security. The role involves embedding with the development team, handling IoT deployment automation, and collaborating with diverse teams such as software development, platform, and operations. The Cloud Engineer will be part of a seven-member team, including DBAs and networking engineers, and will work closely with the CI/CD engineering team. Notably, 75% of this role focuses on automation and building pipelines. Skills and Requirements - 4+ years of overall experience as a Cloud Engineer in an operations environment - 4 years of experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure - At least 4 years of hands-on experience building end-to-end data pipelines using Terraform - Strong scripting skills for automation and refactoring infrastructure (preferably in Golang, PowerShell, or TypeScript) - Enterprise experience in refactoring infrastructure and managing deployments within pipelines - Currently using monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace - Bachelors degree in a relevant field - Experience in regulated industries, particularly healthcare or medical devices - Knowledge of serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) - Background in software development null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
