The team
Our customer is bringing in several applications to the public cloud (GCP). In this, the team plays a critical role in ensuring the security, networking and integrity of their cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for helping their Network infrastructure evolve to the next level. Security, Networking and integrity should be of your main interest, as well as filling the gap between the BI teams and setting up their platform in Public Cloud.
Roles and responsibilities
Generate clear ideas, design concepts, prototypes and final designs of creative assets from beginning to end, considering technology and regulatory constraints. Work closely with engineers from around the world to support timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs.Improve our platform’s self-service capabilities while keeping the customer/user in mind. Evangelize self-service capabilities usage to our engineers. Use customer feedback and learnings to continuously make recommendations to improve our product. Partner with product management, engineers, and other stakeholders to improve the experience and productivity of ING engineers on the public cloud platform. You will provide specialist expertise on GCP especially focused on networkingHow to succeed

The candidate has a hands-on and “DevOps” mindset, a strong customer- and problem-solving orientation, show fast results, and have demonstrated good communication skills, especially in an international IT organization. To achieve the project goals, candidate can liaise directly with all stakeholders. The candidate has a clear focus on results and quality.
You are well acquainted with the complete Google Cloud Platform. In addition, you have practical experience of being part of a DevOps team.Proven experience in setting up or hosting infrastructures from which stakeholders extract data instantaneously out of multiple sources (e.g. Looker Studio).Bachelor of science / Master’s degree in Computer Science, System Administration, or any other IT infrastructure or software related study with a passion for the automation side of IT infrastructure.A least several years of experience within a broad IT Infrastructure (OS, Networking, Security).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Good documenting capabilities.Experience with technologies like:
