This role will work with the Global Operations team to build and support cloud-based, infrastructure solutions while maintaining, developing, troubleshooting and provisioning enterprise levels to Teletrac Navman platforms. This role will assume leadership during system/platform outages and provide timely reports to Global Operations Management. This role will also be responsible for identifying and implementing cost management strategies to ensure efficient and cost- effective use of cloud resources; and implement and maintain cloud security best practices.
\n\nThe Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will work at “Monterrey, Mexico”
\n\nResponsibilities and Duties\n• Measure the uptime and availability of cloud infrastructure resources, such as virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components, to ensure high levels of service availability and reliability. Continuous improvement in the reduction of MTTR.
• Oversee proper incident management and take on a lead role in managing severity 1 and severity 2 incidents during your primary shift including coordinating resources needed to reduce our MTTR.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure resources, including response times, latency, throughput, and other performance metrics, to ensure efficient and responsive cloud services for end-users.
• Monitor and maintain the security of cloud infrastructure resources, such as implementing and maintaining appropriate security controls, managing access controls and permissions, monitoring for security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs, including tracking cloud resource usage, identifying and implementing cost- saving opportunities, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of cloud resources while meeting budget and cost targets.
• Measure the level of automation in cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management, including the use of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) techniques, automation tools, and scripting, to streamline and optimize cloud operations.
• Ensure compliance with cloud governance policies, including adherence to organizational standards, managing cloud resource usage, access controls, and permissions, and providing recommendations for improving governance practices.
• Track the successful delivery of cloud infrastructure projects, including meeting project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and ensuring smooth and efficient transitions of applications, workloads, and data to cloud platforms.
• Maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures, as well as providing regular reporting on cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, auditing, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Implement and manage automation tools, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) techniques to streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management, as well as facilitating collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Assess the level of collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance, mentoring and training junior team members, and actively participating in cloud-related projects and initiatives.

Required Skills / Qualifications\n• At least 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure & systems engineering
\n• At least 5+ years of service delivery experience with AWS Cloud
\n• Able to provide support with weekday on call and rotating weekend on call duties
\n• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional Certification (current)
\n• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and relevant windows technologies
\n• Experience with Microsoft server and Microsoft IIS technologies, including implementing clustered and load- balanced technology
\n• Understanding of high scale, high performance, security, and best practices
\n• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
\n• Passionate customer service orientation with extensive experience in managing multiple stakeholders
\n• Technically minded problem solver with strong project management skills
\n• Willingness to take ownership, be held accountable and achieve a good outcome for all stakeholders
\n• Able to work with a diverse array of people, challenging in a non-confrontational way and builds successful working relationships
\n• Display a sound business judgment and decision-making capability
\n• Previous experience with UNIX/LINUX Server would be a plus
\n• Practical hands-on experience with writing Puppet integration and/or Terraform modules would be highly desirable
\n• Advanced Network knowledge in particular DNS, switching, routing and firewall configuration would be a nice to have
\n• Certifications in Cisco Certified Network Associate or Cisco Certified Network Professional would be beneficial but not required
