**Please review the following job description:**
Develop, evaluate, and implement collateral management/optimization strategies to meet the collateral requirements/needs of Truist that align with risk framework and risk/return objectives. Role will report to Head of Corporate Funding in Corporate Treasury, and will partner with Liquidity, Capital, Resolution Planning, Investment Portfolio, and Operations teams to ensure a holistic view of collateral management needs. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for collateral management across Reg YY, Reg QQ, SR Letter 12-7, and SR Letter 10-6. The Senior Collateral Manager will oversee the development of a collateral management framework that governs data and reporting related to collateral management, along with partnering with leaders across lines of business, including Wholesale and Consumer/Small Business Banking Service Delivery teams, to maximize/optimize on-/off-balance sheet collateral.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for collateral management across Reg YY, Reg QQ, SR Letter 12-7, and SR Letter 10-6.
Develop collateral management framework, including but not limited to: policy, standards, procedures, reporting, and risk appetite.
Lead efficient pledging of all eligible securities and loans to the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB), Federal Reserve (FRB), or other secured borrowing facilities.
Partner with lines of business and banking service delivery (loan operations) to maximize and optimize loans/securities collateral through effective governance structure and documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures.
Lead and be the primary contact for periodic loan eligibility reviews with FHLB/FRB and serve as the collateral management subject matter expert in internal/external reviews, such as audits, second line of defense risk reviews, and horizontal liquidity reviews.
Work with corporate treasury partners in liquidity, capital, resolution planning, and investment portfolio to enhance collateral management.
Partner with corporate funding manager to expand and manage secured borrowing facilities.
Serve as the business owner of collateral management reporting and monitoring, including internal reporting as well as regulatory reporting (e.g., resolution plans).
Adhere to risk management responsibilities, including applicable regulatory and compliance policies/standards linked to the role.
Perform ad-hoc analyses, special projects, and additional duties/responsibilities as required.
**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
+ Eight years of experience in banking with direct collateral management and/or related corporate treasury experience.
+ Strong knowledge of key liquidity regulations governing Category III (or higher) banking institutions such as Reg YY, Reg WW, Reg QQ, FR 2052a, SR Letter 12-7, SR Letter 0-6, and SR Letter 12-17.
+ High degree of technical and interpersonal skills required.
+ Ability to think strategically and both short-/long-term implications of actions.
+ Ability to interact with governing regulatory bodies supervising Category III or higher institutions.
+ General understanding of regulatory, accounting, and tax rules as it relates to bank activities.
+ Very strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and business acumen.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Office.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or similar concentration.
+ Thorough understanding of collateral management and its critical role in managing funding/liquidity risk.
+ Proven ability to work well under high pressure in volatile, stress markets.
+ Experience with accounting, regulatory, and legal issues related to collateral management, funding, liquidity, and resolution planning.
