Senior Commercial Account Executive

Overview Working at a strategic level the Senior Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for maintaining client relationships by developing and executing proactive, creative and ongoing contact initiatives. Directly manages the largest and/or most complex client accounts. How you'll make an impact Primary Responsibilities: Focus externally generating significant compensation from executing cross-selling plans and rounding accounts Maintains client relationships by developing and executing proactive, creative and ongoing client initiatives Interacts with client staff that are at the senior level in the organization Functions independently to inform, educate, resolve issues, answer questions Makes decisions regarding the need for implementation of and modifications to clients’ coverages Works proactively with sales professionals and account managers to develop specific programs tailored to meet the individual needs of clients Develops, implements and monitors comprehensive customer service plans that reflect the customer’s business and risk management goals Develops and maintains client relationships and coordinates services leading to successful development, retention and rounding of accounts Markets new and renewal business to appropriate carriers Independently, or in partnership with sales professional(s) and marketing, manages new/renewal business strategy including the coordination of roles and the obtaining of information Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals as needed for account review Meets with clients with or without sales professionals on new business and renewal presentations Partners with sales professional to generate new business opportunities Maintains accurate and up-to-date data in agency management system according to agency workflows Verifies new and renewal policies for accurate in rating, coverages and other relevant information Coordinates clients’ needs with support team regarding the issuance of binders, certificates and evidence of property Pursues prompt client payment in coordination with the sales professional. Requests cancellations from the carrier according to agency workflows Interacts with others effectively and professionally by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology Provides guidance and direction to account associates and less experienced account managers as needed Regular and reliable attendance required. Overtime work, as needed About You Required: Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 10 years related experience required. License required. Preferred: Professional designation such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred. Excellent sales capabilities; outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Behaviors: Position requires excellent communication skills.
