Senior Commercial Lead – Data Centres – Frankfurt
Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects
Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lead.
Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy and Leadership: The Senior Commercial Lead is responsible for developing and implementing the commercial strategy for the data centre construction project. This includes managing contracts, negotiating terms with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring the project remains financially viable. They also ensure that the project meets commercial goals while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Contract Management and Negotiations: The Senior Commercial Lead oversees the creation, negotiation, and management of contracts for various vendors, contractors, and service providers involved in the project. They ensure that contracts are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with the project’s objectives, managing risks associated with contractual agreements and resolving disputes when they arise. Budget Control and Financial Management: They are responsible for setting, monitoring, and controlling the project's budget. This includes tracking costs, forecasting expenditures, managing changes in scope, and ensuring the project stays within financial limits. They also oversee the preparation of financial reports and ensure that payments to contractors and suppliers are made in accordance with agreed terms. Risk Management and Commercial Performance: The Senior Commercial Lead identifies and mitigates financial and commercial risks throughout the project. They ensure that any commercial issues, such as delays, cost overruns, or changes in scope, are proactively addressed and resolved. Their goal is to protect the project’s profitability and avoid any negative financial impacts. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting: The Senior Commercial Lead is responsible for managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and subcontractors. They regularly report on the commercial status of the project, providing insights into budget, financial performance, and risks. They ensure that stakeholders are kept informed of key financial decisions and project progress.
Requirements
Degree in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or equivalent third level qualification. 12+ years' experience in Commercial Management role. Data Centre experience Advanageous

€130,000-€140,000 + Full rotational Package
