About The Role Summary: The bank is seeking an experienced, dynamic Commercial Lender to join our team. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, fostering long-term client relationships, and driving growth. This role requires an individual with a strong background in deposit generation, treasury management needs and a demonstrated ability to build a robust portfolio of business banking clients by providing effective sales and services that align with the overall mission and credit culture of the bank. Must have the ability to establish and promote business development efforts throughout the bank’s market which lead to relationship and lending opportunities. Must be knowledgeable about the market and can analyze financial statements ranging from a variety of Business and Industry types with the experience to provide banking solutions. The compensation minimum within the wage range for this position is $160,603.65 - $196,296.40 annually and will vary depending on what city the applicant works in. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Develops and manages a customer portfolio that is to include commercial loans, treasury management products and deposit products. Attends loan committee as required, with ability to provide structural feedback to the committee. Proactively generate deposit relationships, ensuring the bank’s growth through effective sales strategies, with particular emphasis on driving deposit and treasury solutions. Processes loan maturities and renewals. Collects all necessary documents to submit to the Credit Department for analysis. Prepares with the assistance of the Credit Department loan presentations as necessary and present to Loan Committee. Works closely with Loan Assistant to properly document and maintain loan and collateral files. Works with Treasury Management Sales Officer and other Business Service Partners to sell products when applicable. Represents the Bank at various networking functions to further the Bank’s reputation and reach in the community. Cultivate strong relationships with business owners, CFOs, and decision-makers, offering solutions to meet their banking needs. Assist in the overall management of the branch as well as supporting other needs that may arise in the course of running a bank. Performs job functions in compliance with all company policies, federal and state rules and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC, and GLBA/privacy rules. May perform other duties as assigned. About You Qualifications: 12+ years of experience in banking and commercial lending. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or other related disciplines preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated sales and business development skills. Ability to fully understand, analyze and structure various types of commercial loan requests. Represent the bank in a positive manner at all times and network outside the bank. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of advanced banking products and terminology. Ability to maintain high volume of quality work, while ensuring highest confidentiality. Exercise good judgment when dispensing information to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. and ability to learn new systems/applications. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneous in a fast-paced, diverse, and growth-oriented environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes. Mental Conditions: Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
