Job Description SummaryThe Multi Year Agreements- Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of all aspects of the Inquiry To Order (ITO) phase from proposal management to contract negotiation and closure including proposal development, risk management and mitigation strategy, specification compliance, scope development, pricing, contract structure, negotiation and issue resolution for Multi-years Agreements to which you are assigned.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform initial risk evaluation and determine feasibility and bid compliance concernsConduct formal R1 where requiredProvide full proposal leadership from initial enquiry to deal closure and handover (track key dates and proposal submission deadlines)Support technical scope and pricing developmentCoordinate with various internal teams in completing the proposal – sales, finance, execution, risk, legal, engineering, etc.Ensure Risk Checklist & Delegation of Authority (DOA), Policy 5.0 (R Process) are followed and correctly reviewed & completed for all proposals.Propose and support formal R2 to obtain pricing/deviation approvals where required (regional and HQ)Generate final proposal with approved deviations/language as requiredLead or support the contract negotiation phase including manage documentation, customer’s request and co-ordinate with internal team for contract drafting and resolution for contract closingParticipate in the customer meetings for bid clarification; contract terms and conditions finalization ensuring maximum GE’s profit and favorable contract terms.Send order acknowledgements, obtain contract signatures and ensure internal order booking is completed on-timeConduct formal R3 review to identify and handover execution requirements/documentsContinuously identify and refine the proposal processes with special emphasis on Lean opportunities for improvement and waste reductionRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college Relevant commercial experience in Power industryWillingness and ability to travel, as needed, for customer and deal enablementExperience in Heavy Industry or underwriting /drafting contracts and proposals related to Long Term Service Contracts.Ability to demonstrate evaluation of risk/risk mitigation for long term service agreements.Desired Characteristics
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferredMaster's degree in Business Administration is preferredPrior commercial sales experience in closing large and complex agreements is preferredPrior experience in Long-term Maintenance Contract negotiation and drafting with customer is preferredExpertise in MYA modeling tools and accounting practice is preferred.Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quicklyStrong coordination and influencing skillsKnowledge of customer financial drivers / needsAble to provide financial analysis and contract risk profileStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No
