Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility, Inc. Rolling Stock is seeking a Senior Commercial Project Manager with experience managing sophisticated international projects to work in our Sacramento, CA facility. The Senior Commercial Project Manager will be responsible for the execution of a Metro Component project valued at approximately $250+M, with the potential to reach $500+M, over 3-5 years. This role includes handling commercial project execution during phases such as planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and customer acceptance. Responsibilities include working closely with operational departments to ensure Order Income Calculation goals are met while achieving customer satisfaction, cost control, schedule adherence, and quality standards. Another key role involves acting as the World Project Controller to ensure financial compliance across the project and subprojects. This position reports to the Director, FBA, Metros.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Handle profit and loss for assigned projects.• Proactively address changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans from a cost perspective.• Be responsible for and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and results to support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.• Assist the Project Manager in developing and delivering monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal/external customers.• Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members and contractors, encouraging them to take positive action and responsibility for their assigned tasks.• Support in identifying and resolving issues/conflicts within the project team.• Assist in customer sales channel activities.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• Required education: College diploma or equivalent experience required. PMI Certification.• Required experience: 10+ years of successful Project Management experience in sophisticated projects.• Some travel is required.• Excellent commercial, oral, and written communication skills; must demonstrate presentation skills.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.• Preferred experience: Experience related to the rolling stock industry is helpful.• Experience in controlling and accounting, contracts, and claims with rail vehicle commercial project management preferred.

This position is based in Sacramento, CA. We offer a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $140,000- $175,000 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
