Summary of Position
Under the general direction of the Director, Accounting, the Senior Commissions Accountant will perform accounting work involving financial accounting and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and administer the monthly and quarterly commission cycles to include calculation, reporting, payment and accountingManage the commission calculation process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of the calculationPrepare and distribute quarterly commission statementsPrepare commission payment files for submission to payrollComplete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables to include monthly accruals, journal entries, reports, reconciliations, etc., including required documentation and support to comply with internal controls and SOXCollaborate with internal business partners to ensure commission accuracy as well as compliance with relevant accounting pronouncements and Teladoc Health policiesContinuously improve the commissions cycle by improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions.Support external and internal auditsPerform special accounting and financial projects as assigned

Qualifications Required for Position
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent3-5 years experience with sales incentive compensation plansXactly experience and previous system implementation experience preferredSelf-starter, able to drive results without significant supervisionStrong knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 340-40 commission accountingExperience with Salesforce CRM, WorkDay, and Oracle a plus.Customer service and collaborative orientationUnderstanding of SOX control requirementsStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on process improvementAbility to work independently under tight deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working in environments with high degree of changeIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsWork Environment
