Senior Communications Program Manager

The team

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Communications Program Manager to manage and support comms initiatives and operations as a member of our Executive and Employee Communications team.  Primarily focused on internal communication, this position is ideal for someone who is energized by the challenge and opportunity of keeping 5,000 global employees informed and engaged.  You’re comfortable at a strategic level and interfacing with executives and passionate about refining processes, collecting data, creating reports, and digging into details.  Wearing your operations and program management hats, you are truly a force multiplier, able to use your jack-of-all-trades skillset in proactive and reactive ways to enhance the efficiency, productivity and impact of our communications strategies and deliverables.  

What you’ll be doing

Lead and manage employee comms assignments – at program, project and task level – including newsletter publishing, meeting support, and event coordination Provide operational support, which could include collecting data, compiling reports, evaluating tools and systems, maintaining resources, and spotting gaps. Help the team run smoothly by creating and sharing communication protocols, including processes, governance and operations. Oversee, monitor and analyze comms metrics and make data-driven recommendations to improve communications effectiveness and efficiency. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our communication efforts remain innovative and impactful.

What you bring to the team 

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing and/or Marketing Operations. A good understanding of global corporate employee and executive communications as typically acquired via 5-7 years of experience in communications, marketing and operations teams. Proven record of developing and executing communication programs and managing projects with multiple stakeholders and moving parts A love of operations – you make the wheels turn and help everyone stay focused and productive – combined with strong project management skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same managing deadlines, invites, inputs, reviews, delivery and budget details; an expert at untangling the occasional hairball. Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms for analytics, reporting, content management, project management and more.     Ability to lead via influence, be agile and resourceful, deal with some ambiguity, and jump in wherever needed.  Self-directed and able to work solo and within a global matrix organization. This role will be traveling roughly 10%.

 

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is:   Tier One Location (including New York City and California Bay Area): $102,300-$146,100 Tier Two Location (including Colorado, Seattle, and the rest of California): $88,900 - $137,000 Tier Three Location (including the rest of Washington State): $71,100 – $111,600   The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
