Senior Communications Specialist - Brand, Event and Talent Communications

The role will be responsible for the management of all Employee Communications, Recruitment Marketing, all GSSC-wide events/activities and will be QBE GSSC's Brand Expert. The role will ensure GSSC is aligned with QBE's Brand strategy, guideline and positioning. Another key part of the role is senior stakeholder management as it will require working closely with GSSC's Executive Committee. The role requires keen attention to detail and ability to plan, present and articulate the plan to get executive approval as well as financial planning/budgeting. The role will engage closely with the rest of GSSC Communications Team and Global Communications Team. May be required to work on global projects with Global Communications Team so knowledge on Project Management and managing multiple initiatives is key.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement activities/campaigns and events ensuring proper allocation and use of QBE GSSC's annual budget
•Proper management of processes with all controls in place; ensuring proper documentations for all projects
•Understands, implements and regularly reviews QBE protocols and processes for all QBE engagement events, including management of funds.
•Participate in Global Forums as needed such as Global Communications Forums, Town Halls, etc.
•Support the Editorial area of the function by creating, copywriting, editing written communication collaterals used in various platforms both for internal and external use.
•Creation of key presentations intended for both internal and external audiences such as Global QBE leaders and key stakeholders
•Plans and roll out key GSSC-wide campaigns and special projects
•Support the creation of content and overall management of Leadership town halls/Road Shows, global leadership visits, while working closely with senior stakeholders, Communications team members and other QBE colleagues
•Support key Communication and Branding initiatives and serve as back-up for other Communication team members
•Project management of key projects assigned

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience

Preferred Competencies/Skills

• Copywriting and written communication skills
•Excellent presentation content-creation skills, report generation skills
•Excellent verbal communication skills; candidate must be very good in articulating thoughts in a very organized and concise manner
•Preferably someone with experience working as a Corporate Communications professional who has worked with senior leaders in a BPO, shared services or multinational set up
•Project management knowledge and experience
•Ability to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders
•Very strong Organizational skills
•Good fund management skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines/priorities
•Strong attention to details

Preferred Experience

• Corporate communications professional with strong project management skills, with a minimum 10 years’ experience in similar role in a BPO, Shared Service or Multinational setting
•Relevant tertiary qualifications such as but not limited to Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Business



Preferred Knowledge

• Knowledge of marketing, organizational communications, journalism, copywriting, community relations and public engagement, as well as composing and editing informational and business material.
•Fundamental knowledge of starting a CS Program or Foundation; Foundation Secretariat management, Sustainability, campaign management, project management, report creation, presentation creation
