Vanguard’s Executive Communications team is seeking strong communications strategists and counselors to join the team. As a Senior Specialist, you'll be responsible for advancing the firm’s corporate narrative externally across a broad spectrum of audiences through effective, strategic executive communications. The ideal candidates thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment and can adapt quickly to meet the needs of our stakeholders.You will report to the Head of Executive Communications & Archives, collaborating with members of the Corporate Communications team and senior leaders across Vanguard, to develop and execute communications for members of the executive leadership team.
These roles:
+ Work as members of the Executive Communications team to develop communications strategies and provide strategic communications counsel to Vanguard managing directors.
+ Strategically consider, proactively seek, and execute on external opportunities including conference appearances, awards and accolades, media opportunities (in partnership with the Public Relations team), and enterprise-wide internal initiatives.
+ Create in-depth, compelling communications for executives to enhance their thought leadership and visibility on a range of subjects, including: the investment industry, Vanguard funds and services, technology, human capital, regulatory and corporate governance matters, community involvement, leadership, and culture.
+ Display versatility in producing clear communications through a wide range of styles and formats, including formal speeches, PowerPoint presentations, blogs, videos, letters, articles, op-ed and bylined content, and social media, ensuring they are tailored to specific audiences, channels, and occasions.
+ Continuously measure, evaluate, and modify communications plans and tactics to improve impact and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ 10+ years of relevant communications experience.
+ Versatile writer with the ability to capture the unique voices of a variety of leaders.
+ High level of executive presence, professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
+ Exceptional communicator, able to present ideas in writing, visually, and verbally, formally and informally.
+ Experience planning, writing, and managing social media content.
+ Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
+ Proven time and project management skills with experience managing projects spanning across multiple stakeholders.
+ Intermediate PowerPoint skills.
This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays – Thursdays required in our offices to foster collaboration and relationships. On Mondays and Fridays, our crew will have the option to work remotely, or continue working from our offices in Malvern PA.
