Role and responsibilities of a senior Company Lawyer 

The role of the Senior Company Lawyer is to supervise- and work alongside a team of (Junior) Company Lawyers in relation to:

Being responsible for managing a cluster and its Clients; Being responsible for managing a Client portfolio;  Being the go-to for all the Complex clients, Key Clients, and Complex structures; Coaching and mentoring a talented team of (Junior) Company Lawyers; Ensuring that the clients' client entities are in good legal standing and are compliant with local & international legislation and regulations; Assisting with setting up and managing corporate-, fund- and private legal structures; Assisting the clients’ client entities with corporate secretarial support & transactional assistance; Enabling the clients to meet their timelines in relation to all legal & regulatory matters;  Keeping the records of the client entities up to date;  Supporting in managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders such as advisors, authorities, etc.; Strengthening and sustaining our reputation as a proactive provider of trust and corporate services;  Acting as a gatekeeper and making sure we protect the financial system, and WFT (“Wet Financieel Toezicht”) regulations.

 


Required:

A minimum of 5+ years of working experience within the trust, financial services industries, and law firms; Experience working for multinational companies Fluent in English.

 

Preference:

Financial knowledge of structured finance, balance sheets, and financial reports; Client service delivery experience;  Working experience within a law firm (banking & finance), banks or private equity firms;  Dutch speaking.
