Senior Compensation Analyst

Position Summary:

The Senior Compensation Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the team through the development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of compensation strategies.  The role will be responsible for enhancing our ability to attract, engage and retain employees while ensuring alignment with our Compensation philosophy, best practices, business strategies, and financial objectives. Programs include job leveling and pricing, salary survey participation, salary adjustments, and annual compensation planning. This role reports to the Compensation Director and works closely with HR Business Partners globally, along with Talent Acquisition HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits.

Essential Functions:

Business support

Administer and oversee day-to-day compensation tasks with varying complexity.

Formulate recommendations regarding development of business process workflows, FLSA exemptions, and job descriptions.

Job architecture & job evaluations

Assist with the development and implementation of job architecture.

Conduct job evaluations and job leveling across various functions to ensure pay equity and consistency.

Provide compensation recommendations for new and existing roles based on analysis of job responsibilities, skills, and experience levels.

Conduct internal job analysis to ensure appropriate classification and grading of jobs, and external job analysis through salary survey participation.

Pay structures & compensation planning

Assist in the development and implementation of pay structures.

Participate in salary survey submissions.

Assist with the administration for annual compensation planning in Workday, including salary review (merit) and short-term incentive programs globally.

HR partnerships

Partner with global HR Business partners to resolve compensation issues including base pay, incentive plans, and recognition payments.

Generate ad-hoc compensation reports for senior leadership, HR teams, and external auditors as needed.

Participate in training sessions for various stakeholders, including HR and leadership.

Assist with HR projects where compensation analysis is required.

Support the integration of new business acquisitions from a compensation perspective.

Policies & procedures

Develop policies and procedures to support the HR & Compensation functions.

Ensure that implementation occurs timely, and policies and procedures are followed consistently.

Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.

Qualifications:

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Strong analytical skills and Microsoft Excel skills required

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred

Compensation analysis, broad base pay, and job evaluation experience preferred

Workday experience preferred

Aon Radford survey provider experience preferred

International compensation experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to present to different stakeholders

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with various levels and functions within the organization, develop relationships, influence in a matrix organization, active listening

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
