Position Summary

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for modeling the 3 Company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence, and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Senior Compensation Analyst analyzes, designs, and administers employer compensation programs, including base pay and incentive pay. S/he evaluates jobs, determines pay grades, participates in compensation surveys, and performs associated analysis.


Position Specific Responsibilities

Applies knowledge and information of the marketplace, developments and trends related to the Compensation function in various environments, to advise leaders on making effective pay decisions.Utilizes various salary planning tools and methods, job evaluation techniques, and market salary trends; ability to design and implement salary programs.Advises stakeholders on federal, state and local laws and on laws and regulations affecting Compensation practices.Uses incentive planning tools, techniques and procedures; develops and implements incentive and rewards programs.Provides guidance and advice on compensation policies, pay decisions, wage and hour regulations, and creative solutions for specific compensation issues.Works with lines of business in the design and administration of incentive plans, including the complex financial analysis needed for the calculation and processing of bonus payments.Oversees the administration of annual compensation reviews and bonus cycles, working in tandem with business leaders to ensure seamless overall performance review process.Using market pricing software, assists in preparing analysis and interpretation of external market information for development and maintenance of salary ranges.Completes ad hoc market pricing requests from corporate and field HR personnel.Assists leaders and HR personnel in writing job descriptions.Creates, analyzes and provides reporting to Executive Management regarding incentive payments, pay increases, etc.Ensures compensation pay plans are in compliance with federal/state wage and hour regulations.Utilizes compensation related databases and systems that support compensation programs throughout the organization.Collaborates with HRIS and HRBP teams to provide Workday system support including job changes, compensation changes, managing job profiles and job descriptions.Manages the Samanage ticketing system for CompensationCreates workflow process to streamline, enhance and ensure compliance for all business processes.Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.Equivalent experience in Compensation of eight (8) or more years may be accepted in lieu of a degree.


Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Knowledge in human resource laws (i.e., FLSA), regulations and best practices.


Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

PHR/SHRM- CCP preferred


Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
