Summary
GameStop is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to provide advanced analytical expertise to the planning, design, development, and administration of employee compensation across the organization. Working independently, the Senior Compensation Analyst will partner with HR teams and business leaders to ensure compensation structures align with market trends, attract top talent, and retain key employees.
This position will sit onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, design, and administer GameStop’s compensation programs, including base salary structures, incentive plans, and performance-based rewards.Conduct market research and benchmarking to assess competitiveness and ensure alignment with industry standards.Evaluate and refine pay structures, salary grades, and compensation strategies to meet business objectives.Partner with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Legal, Store Operations, and HR—to develop and implement compensation-related initiatives.Provide data-driven recommendations on salary adjustments, promotions, equity adjustments, and job evaluations.Collaborate with HR leadership to develop compensation policies that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.Support the annual compensation planning process, including merit increases, bonus structures, and performance review cycles.Utilize HRIS (Workday) to enhance compensation processes, automate workflows, and improve efficiency.Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to ensure effective compensation program delivery.Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations and policies while identifying potential risks.Communicate compensation strategies clearly through reports, presentations, and documentation tailored to different audiences.Model the high level of customer service expected of all GameStop associates including responding to voice mails and emails within organizationally defined timeframes, completing projects as committed, responding to others’ feedback appropriately, and making optimal use of organizationally limited resources by offering assistance to other functional teams when appropriate.Provide ad-hoc reports and analytics to support business decisions.Uphold strict confidentiality regarding compensation data and sensitive employee information.Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned.Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a compensation, HR, or finance-related role, with an emphasis on data analysis and compensation structures. Retail or multi-state corporate experience is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.Proficiency in compensation modeling, pay equity analysis, and incentive plan design.Expertise in HR systems such as Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data analysis) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong ability to build relationships and influence business leaders through data-driven insights.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations, including FLSA, pay equity, and market pricing strategies.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.Key Competencies
