Job DescriptionRole Overview:
Serves as an expert resource and assists the HIM Compliance Manger in the daily operations of HIM Compliance’s centralized revenue review functions, which includes management of the coding/documentation compliance program, including appropriate assignment of ICD10, CPT, E&M, MOA, as it relates to hospital billing.Maintains expertise in relevant CMS regulations and industry standards regarding the coding/documentation of hospital technical services.Monitors compliance through oversight of periodic reviews of coding practices.Communicates directly with physicians, administrators, patient accounts, and physician billing to ensure that clinical documentation is coded accurately and in compliance with CMS, JCAHO and HIPAA standards.Key Qualifications:
Knowledge & experience interpreting coding guidelines & implementing CMS Regulatory requirements.Ability to use specialized knowledge to handle complex work assignments and provide guidance to less experienced staff and/or head project teams.Communication skills required include preparation & presentation of informationCore Skills:
Strong communication skillsExperience in ICD10, CPT, EM, MOA medical coding and an understanding of hospital workflowsProficiency using EPIC, Excel and Microsoft SuiteAdditional Information:
