Senior Compliance Engineer

This is a hybrid role focused on delivering cloud-ops functionalities, and leading the compliance efforts across the R&D org. This role is designed to serve as the keystone of our compliance management ecosystem, ensuring that our bold ideas are transformed into impactful solutions with precision and agility. By embedding strategic compliance management at the heart of our R&D efforts, we aim to amplify collaboration, accelerate delivery, and maintain our edge in a rapidly evolving landscape. 

Key Responsibilities:

This role will act as a hands-on individual contributor in the Engineering organization, driving compliance and security initiatives across engineering and product teams to ensure successful execution of high-priority initiatives.

This role involves strong technical expertise to deliver on the goals and excellent communication skills to drive progress, align stakeholders, and manage dependencies, and risks. 

Hands on engineering work to support the initiatives while driving compliance and security

Building tools and technologies to drive  compliance and security project delivery 

Defining/building governance of workflows and processes, participating in building processes that streamline compliance  and security work across RnD

Driving regular project reviews with Pods to ensure alignment and allocation, providing status updates  and highlighting risks

Provide visibility and reporting by ensuring the product team has up-to-date visibility into delivery progress and project timelines.

Focused on growing our overall compliance and security story, driving innovative ways to deliver on these goal.

A mix of hands on engagement in security and compliance tooling and services as well as driving cross-team engagement and adherence to compliance and security requirements

This role requires driving complex cross-team compliance and security projects and programs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

5+ years of experience in a technical, program management and/or lead role

3+ years of experience in a compliance/security focused role

Deep knowledge of compliance, security and accreditation programs and processes including federal and other compliance/security regimes

Experience developing and driving cross-team compliance and security initiatives

Experience creating and maintaining compliance, security and project dashboards and reports for visibility into compliance status and metrics.

Ability to interpret key project and compliance metrics and create actionable insights.

Excellent understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) end-to-end process of software development from design to testing and deployment

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.  

Proven track record of delivering complex software/hardware projects on time and within scope.  

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
