Job Description:
We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Manager, AML Alerts Review to join our Integrated Compliance Services team at MBPS. This strategic role is essential for bolstering our leadership capabilities and ensuring effective management of our growing AML Alerts operations. The Senior Manager will provide dedicated oversight, enhance operational efficiency, and uphold the highest compliance standards. This position is also crucial for supporting senior leadership by redistributing daily operational responsibilities, allowing a focus on strategic initiatives and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Director of the First Line of Defense of the Integrated Compliance Services (ICS) department.
Responsible for performing the following functions:
Leadership and Oversight
Provide dedicated leadership for the AML Alerts Review team, ensuring day-to-day operations adhere to compliance protocols and regulatory requirements.
Implement robust quality control measures to maintain high standards across all AML alert review activities.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment through mentorship and guidance.
Operational Management
Oversee the AML alerts review process, including the identification, investigation, and resolution of suspicious activities.
Ensure the timely and accurate handling of AML alerts, improving overall team efficiency.
Allocate resources effectively to reduce bottlenecks and streamline workflow.
Strategic Support
Assist senior leadership by taking on daily operational responsibilities, enabling a focus on strategic initiatives, relationship management, and segment calibrations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term strategic goals for the compliance function.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement
Monitor team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Identify and address training needs to enhance team capabilities.
Compliance and Risk Management
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices related to AML and alert reviews.
Ensure the AML Alerts Review team remains compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Law, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CAMS) is preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in AML, alert reviews, compliance, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of AML regulations, alert review processes, and compliance best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of enhancing team performance.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
High level of integrity and ethical standards.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Strong commitment to professional development and fostering a culture of growth within the team.
