Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join our Navigation team. In this key role, you will be part of a cross-functional engineering team , driving the development and deployment of our core technology and products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in robotics, computer vision, deep learning, and 3D perception, with proven experience in software development and technical mentoring.The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Sevensense Robotics Division in Zürich.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDeveloping and optimizing the C++ perception stack, integrating stereo cameras , time-of-flight cameras, ultrasonics, and LiDAR, leveraging sensor fusion and volumetric mapping algorithms.•\tImplementing and improving stereo vision pipelines with a focus on CPU/GPU acceleration and advanced filtering techniques to maximize performance. •\tAdvancing semantic scene understanding algorithms for robust 3D perception in complex environments, such as people and dynamic object detection and tracking. Designing simulation and evaluation pipelines, while conducting real-world experiments to validate system performance and ensure robustness and generalization.•\tOverseeing major technical development projects, ensuring effective coordination within the team, technical project managers, and product managers.

Qualifications for the role

\tMaster’s degree or equivalent in robotics, computer vision, computer science, or a related technical field.\tStrong expertise in computer vision, 3D perception, deep learning, and sensor fusion, with hands-on experience working with multiple sensor modalities.\t3+ years of professional experience in software engineering for product development, including code development, code reviews, continuous integration (CI), and performance optimization, with proficiency in C++ and Python.\tProven experience in technical project management, including planning, executing, and monitoring, as well as mentoring and guiding developers.\tExperience with Visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), motion planning and control is a plus.\tFluency in English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
