Senior Construction Architect - Project Lead
A leading Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) team is seeking a Staff Architect to support the development and sustainment of projects across a diverse portfolio, including attractions, hotels, offices, entertainment venues, and infrastructure. This role will act as an Architectural Owner's Representative, ensuring projects are designed to high standards, fully coordinated with other disciplines, and compliant with regulations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.Minimum 13 years of professional architecture experience.California Architectural License required.Expertise in construction administration, including site observations and RFI/submittal review.Strong knowledge of California Building Code, ADA, CalOSHA, and health codes.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Architectural Owner's Representative
Lead design management for projects from concept through construction.Develop project scopes, create RFPs, and oversee external design consultants.Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA, safety regulations, and internal standards.Review architectural drawings and specifications at design milestones for constructability and long-term maintainability.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering disciplines, city officials, and construction teams.Provide technical expertise, facilitate design reviews, and oversee quality assurance.Manage responses to RFIs, submittals, and city plan checks.Oversee project closeout, documentation, and punch list coordination.Architectural Design & Project Development
Develop facility design concepts and manage the design process through construction documentation.Ensure designs integrate seamlessly with all disciplines, including MEP, structural, and area development.Lead code analysis and life safety planning.Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam to review and manage designs.Provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members.
